Mike was a Beagle puppy and Joe was a Siberian husky puppy. The two puppies lived close to one another in neighboring homes in the country side. One day, Mike invited his friend Joe for a long afternoon walk in the woods. ‘Little Joe, Little Joe would you come with me this afternoon for a walk along the woods’, Mike said to his friend Joe. ‘Sure thing little Mike’, Joe replied. ‘I will walk with you this afternoon’The two puppies set off into the sunset and took along with them a small black* ball to play with along the way. They went along wagging their tails in the wind as they played with the ball between them. They pushed and kicked the ball from side to side in turns. They continued along the way .That was until the ball was kicked out of the way and right into the swamp* that was on the side of the road. The friends were obviously disappointed by that and they both seemed not to know what to do about the ball that was lost.‘Little Mike, little Mike, what are we going to do now?’ Joe asked. ‘I think that we should chase after the ball and go into the swamp to get it,’ his friend replied. The two friends jumped into the swamp and started searching for the ball. They searched the blackened swamp water but they could not find the ball. At long last, Joe saw the ball hidden among small plants. The friends then took the ball and went along the way. The ball could no longer bounce as it was muddy and dirty. ‘Little Joe, little Joe, what are we going to do now?’ said mike to his Siberian husky friend. ‘I don’t know my friend, but I think that we should find a stream and clean the ball’ Joe said. So the two friends went along towards the stream to clean the ball. The dipped the ball into the water once, then twice and once again. When the friends were done cleaning the ball, they were amazed! The ball had changed from a dull black to a bright red colour. Enjoy with the adventures of a puppy and learn simple vocabulary, color with bonus appendix.
